My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia in 2018. These are some of my thoughts, feelings and stories from our journey.
So why the name? If you've ever cared for someone living with dementia, you know that they often live in their own world of memories. Sometimes those memories include you, sometimes they don't. As the disease progresses, memories become blurry or jumbled. My husband often retreats to the memories of his childhood. Times and places that have no meaning for me other than they are important to him.
Even if you are not the primary caregiver, I hope that you will find the thoughts contained in Living Their Memories of value. I hope to share my ideas on how you can help support the primary caregiver and maybe it will be a good laugh on occasion.
